first up, doimog update; my first ever project has sorta levelled off at 2700 photos. this is actually so cool. everything i do is succesful. my whole fucking college used it. i posted it on hacker news, like a couple hundred people tried it from there. but like seriosuly, 2700 people uploading their photos to get rated is so fucking crazy. good success. lets keep going man
another sorta thing i was thinking about for long was PROGRAMMING. i wasnt sure what to do wrt leraning languages etc, but then i just remembered im a math kid man, the point of programming for me is not to leran some stupid syntax, or write code, the point of programming for me is to build a bunch of cool sthi. and thats all imma do, build a bunch of cool shit. obv if i need to learn something i will, but premature optimization does no good. lets also go back to doing a bunch of cool math man. yeah every single day just do a bunch of cool math. get really good at a lot of math, and make a ton of cool shit.

I woke up and got straight to work. wanna fix my blogging thing first. like my life is actually perfect bro. i had such a cool fucking dream. about a really cool startup i made. and how hard i worked and how much fun it was. and how i sold it. and then today morning when i woke up, i was boutta go on instagram but there was no internet. like life is just perfect bruh. yeah lets keep working.

yeah so my webapp is *almost* perfect now. i uploaded day22 onto monyatwu, without using the terminal atalll. one last change i need to make is, like one last feature is ; on my folder we dont currently see the default.html; so to edit that and rsync/scp it id need to go to vs code or wtv, which is ehh not optimal. so yeah lets fix it.

So basically what Fawkes and Lowkey do are they sort of poison the training data, so like these ppl cant build a clean model of your face. but the problem im trying to solve, say monyuse, is that hinge already has a clean model of my face. i wanna transform my images so that their facial recognition does not recognise me with that clean model. ok cool.

ok so im not really sure what direction imma proceed in mathematically, the first thin im doing tho is making a small script, which wait lemme explain:
apparently the way these models work is they get your face and then they give you an embedding \(v_\text{you}\) in a high dimensional space, then for any photo it can calculate its embedding value and then calculate \(\text{dist}(v_\text{you},v_\text{changed})\) where dist can be cosine similarity or just euclidean distance or wtv. some sense of distance, and if the distance is too small, then it will flag it as the same person. So yeah my script will basically, ill feed it my photo to give me a \(v_\text{you}\) and then i will try a bunch of changes to my face to see what changes give me a big dist. i mean yeah experimentally this is what we're gonna be doing till i figure out the math. ok so what i did was exactly that... i used this image for calculating \(v_\text{you}\) :

the cosine dist in order was 0.3,0.7,0.25,0.9
For the full stats, for instace for the first image, the exact stats were:
cos_sim = 0.694523
cos_dist = 0.305477
l2_dist = 0.781636
interesting.... i mean im not quiet sure how i'll solve this problem, but one thing is for sure, this whole cos_sim, cos_dist etc business can do a bunch of interesting stuff.... ahhh
