okay so right now, i need to build out the email notification system for iitsocial... the site is up and it works perfectly. i think im going to use RESEND, and then i'll maybe change competitors->haters and we gucci. then marketing will start, and also i'm really excited to get back to math!!! ahhh so excited to do a bunch of cool math and make this project goated man.

ahhh i accidentally added iitsocial.com domain when i should have done notify.iitsocial.com (so i can change in the future if mailbox deliverabilty)
resend free only allows one domain per free account so im using my other email to register notify.iitsocial.com ...

ok this is what i've thought w.r.t email's:

now the site is online and it works perfectly. it's time to implement email notifications. i've signed up for rsend and added domain dns, and registered notify.iitsocial.com
i've already implemented
- getKerberosIdFromEntryNumber(entryNumber)
- getIitdEmailFromEntryNumber(entryNumber)
so i'll use them.
the way email notifications should work is:
1) whenever someone interacts with your profile (no matter what kind of interaction), (ie. some action occured on profile with entry_no ) , i will send an email to the corresponding email (kerberos@iitd.ac.in (from getemailfromentrynumber) saying:
"yoo someone just commented some gossip about you.
check out what they said at iitsocial.com/entry_no
btw iitsocial is THE place where all the campus gossip happens, check it out gng.

2) whenever someone tags you on someone else's profile, also send an email to the person that was tagged (say entry_nu1 was tagged on entry_nu2 profile in one of the 4 fields) , then also send an email to entry_nu1:
"yoo someone just said revealed some spicy tea about you. is this true?

yeah these are the two types of emails we need to send.
also note these emails are best effort not blocking. first write stuff in the DB, and then that's the main thing. then later try to send an email, even if it fails, no issues, do not fail the user action, just log email failure
ike we can do batching, send emails out once every hour or something.

ok so i was just doing marketing, we were uploading rumors and gossip about people. alreday over 60 people had signed up with over 80 posts total. i decided to make a small change for making adding new posts easier,
fuck my whole fucking database got wiped. and then fucking hell, emails wont send but that was a RESEND problem. anyways, its finally back up. hope this works. fuckkk.

ok let me tell y'all exactly what happened

first up, the site was INSANELY popular. i'm taking 10 new posts per minute popular. so fucking good. but then it started crashing a little bit. this is the main issue im really fucking annoyed about. another interesting thing that happened is that a lot of people were really mad, they were calling me, threating to file police reports, beat me up, etc. etc. this is genuinely crazy. in like 2 hours this site became so fucking popular man what the fuck. the security officer of iitdelhi, ASO, called me up and said you'll get a DISCO (disc. committee) im like wtv bro. fuck i dont give a fuck about this shit. let me just try to fix my site and get it stable man. let's go.

A BUNCH of stuff happened... ill talk about it, but i need to implement a new feature first. the ability to view only comments in the feed, cos else these 4 fields tagged thigns are too much.

lmao we built it out. it's time for me to blog out everything that happened.
so i launched, i mean throughout the day, i told a few friends about it. like 4 friends lmao. i was sitting with my friends in aravali and writing gossip which was so fun. i mean we were then somehow up to 100 accounts, i didnt even tell anyone, it was just spreading organically lmao. i was making some changes, adding a new post button, but then i accidentally wiped my database lmao. wtv. so we started again, the site was litearlly wildfire. 10 posts/min
literally 2 am in the night, new accounts being made, people writing comments, rumors, gossip. litearlly perfect. then one guy called me and started threating to beat me up if i didnt take down a post. i told him to suck my dick lmao. multiple people called me tho. one guy was like im making a cyber crime complaint. genuinely retarded people bruh. wtf is this shit lmao. anyways yeah while all this was happening, my website started crashing, slowing down, showing 504. it was really annoying. the main issue was the signup nonce thing.
lmaoooo while i was writing this blog i got a call by the police.
bruhh what the fuck is life. he was kinda retarded, and he was telling me how can you use name "iit" , he suggested that i should take the site down.
im like whatever bruh.
there's this kid, arham khalid, who's the main guy who's complaining to the police and dean. wtf is this bs. i spoke to him on call and just told him to suck my dick. fuck this guy.
anyways yeah, my website was crashing a lot. finally fixed it and then i went to the security office. some guard had come to pick me up in a whole gypsy lmaoooo

there was really chill. the guard and the security officer of iit delhi were reallyyyy chill.
over there i had to write a small message for the dean of student affairs (DOSA)
